Current Closures
April 29, 2024: Insley Road access from North Service Road full closure on Monday, April 29 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (1 day).
March 6 - 20, 2024: NSR Closure from Westfield Road to Insley Road (approx. 2 weeks).
February 21 - March 6, 2024: Insley Road closure at NSR (approx. 2 weeks).
January 29 - March 1, 2024: Westfield/Insley at NSR Sanitary Installation
Mobilize to Westfield/NSR on January 29, 2024, and commence sanitary work.
February 5 - 16: Westfield Road closure at NSR.
February 19 - March 1: NSR closure at Insley Road.
January 8 - 26, 2024: SSR/Ogden MH1252 Storm Installation
SSR closure at Ogden on January 8 , 2024.
Realign watermain to accommodate proposed storm MH1252 (as per response to IR#401).
Complete storm MH1252 and adjacent pipe runs.
December 20, 2023: Open SSR to the public for the holidays and remove detour signage. This will avoid issues with snow maintenance on SSR (as required) by the City.
November 25, 2023: Full closure of QEW mainline, eastbound and westbound for installation of Ogden Pedestrian Bridge truss (during night of November 25).
November 20 - December 22, 2023: Closure of South Service Road from west of Ogden Avenue to Cawthra Road for construction of critical sewer infrastructure.
November 20 - December 22, 2023: Closure of South Service Road from Cawthra Road to Ogden Avenue. Subsequent to this five week period, a corresponding full closure of the North Service Road between Cawthra Road and Insley Road will follow for a period of two weeks from early January 2024.
November 18, 2023: Rolling closure of QEW mainline, eastbound and westbound for installation of Ogden Pedestrian Bridge truss during night of November 18.
November 16, 2023 - January 11, 2024: Closure of South Service Road from Cawthra Road to Ogden Avenue for a period of six weeks, tentatively commencing on November 13. Subsequent to this six week period, a corresponding full closure of the North Service Road between Cawthra Road and Insley Road will follow for a period of two weeks.
July 7, 2023: Dixie Road detour open.
July 4 - November 13, 2023: Full Closure of North Service Road from Stanfield Road to Dixie Road - to facilitate multiple sewer construction and Applewood Culvert.
March 18, 2023 - Late Summer 2024: Full Closure of Ogden Avenue Pedestrian Bridge - to facilitate full replacement of the bridge structure. Access to and across the bridge, which crosses the QEW between Ogden Avenue and Insley Road, will not be available throughout this period.
March 18 - 19, 2023: Full closure of the QEW eastbound and westbound, North Service Road, and South Service Road, from 9pm on March 18 to 10am on March 19, 2023.
March 6, 2023: Permanent closure of Cormack Crescent between Dixie Road and South Service Road - to facilitate construction of the new Dixie Road Underpass.
August - December 2022: Off-peak (nightly) shoulder and lane closures on QEW Eastbound and Westbound.
August - December 2022: Eastbound North Service Road closed between Stanfield Road to Dixie Road.
August - December 2022: North Service Road EB closed between Stanfield Road and Dixie Road.
August - December 2022: South Service Road EB closed between Ogden Ave and SSR ramp to Dixie Road.
